Umm, I do, in fact, decide what I like or don’t like. That’s true for everybody. But I don’t decide what you like, and vice versa. So the issue is still that you can’t decide for other people what they’re into.

You overestimate the capacity of billionaires to feel empathy, which is actually zero. Somebody who is going to amass that amount of wealth, I don’t believe there’s anything that would stop them so I disagree. A billionaire would hit that button with absolutely no hesitation.

As soon as 911 happened and I saw the immediate reactionary shift to authoritarian policies I figured our nation had failed. But all I can accomplish are little things, so that’s what strive for. In the Borderlands in-game universe, there’s references to historical “corporate wars”, when the corporations seized political power and promptly began to duke it out to see who was going to be on top of the pile. At least that’s how I imagine it in my head. But fuck if it doesn’t look like that’s the most likely future coming our way.
